August here tops out around 94°F under thick humidity, and January nights drop to about 33°F, cold enough for the odd glaze of ice on the roads. If your pet dies in hot weather, bring them into air conditioning, lay a towel underneath and arrange collection soon. In a winter cold snap, a cool utility room or garage can buy a little time, but don't let a body freeze before pickup.
